"Jayne has made a real difference to my riding and my horses schooling."

Bert is a 6 year old, thoroughbred, ex flat racehorse, who 6 months ago was only capable of running fast in a straight line and found schooling challenging and boring.

Jayne has been extremely patient (with both horse and rider!) and has provided great lessons, constantly adapting schooling plans with exercises to encourage rhythm and suppleness, whilst keeping Bert entertained!

Jayne always has a positive attitude and has helped me really improve the way in which he moves under saddle. I find the lessons great fun and am looking forward to see what we can achieve over the next year!

"I started working with Jayne in 2018 and I can honestly say that Minstrel and I have found someone who truly understands us."

Working on my confidence has been an ongoing struggle with good days and bad days, but I have never doubted the support offered by Jayne. She is sympathetic and understanding and happy to go back a couple of steps to move forward in the long run. With new ideas and tactics to help us both focus and different techniques in every session, every lesson has been helpful and motivating. Our focus has improved, my confidence has improved and I have my mojo back.

I feel I can deal with my pony and work with him. It has also helped that Jayne is willing to ride him and see what I’m feeling, which I find helps enormously.

During our time with Jayne we have come on leaps and bounds, we're back jumping, hacking on our own and will be attempting our first novice dressage class before the end of the year, having qualified for a club intro & prelim championship.

I really enjoy having both dressage and jumping lessons with Jayne as she really does make a difference every time I see her. She has helped me gain in confidence in my jumping to enable me to move up from nervous BE80 to confident BE90.

I like the way she can always find that one little thing that makes a big difference. She has the patience of a saint and is very empathetic. I have total belief in her judgement. In the past few months I have really felt my horse become much softer in his outline and start to carry himself rather than rely on me.

I've been really lucky to work with Jayne through Freddie's journey to British Eventing. We started right back to the basics in our flat and jumping work. In May 2018 Jayne told me she would get Fred and I to my 'goal' of BE80. Due to Covid we finally managed to 'live the dream' at Pontispool in September 2021 finishing in 12th place on a dressage score of 34.5 +4 faults SJ and nothing to add XC. Next new targets - BE90 and Elementary Dressage!

Jayne is a very talented instructor. She is incredibly patient, genuinely wants to see you do well and gets you achieving more than you expected without you realising or feeling like you’re out of your comfort zone.

"Since I started riding my ex-racehorse after his kissing spine operation Jayne has been fundamental in helping me with his schooling. Her expert eye and feel for the horse has enabled him to go from an unruly, unbalanced horse unable to and unwilling to try to canter in an arena to gaining 68+% in his first dressage in just 3 months!

Since July we've continued to have success in dressage and jumped a double clear at his first show jumping competitions."

"I feel like we can achieve anything with Jayne's help."

I’m more of a dressage diva and didn’t like the thought of leaving the ground too often and Flo had not jumped for at least 18 months, due to rehabilitating after a kissing spines operation. After watching my daughter enjoying her jumping and me borrowing her pony, I decided to give it another go on my own! I had lost my confidence in jumping with Flo as she would bolt through the jumps and buck afterwards. I now know this was due to pain and I think Flo had lost her confidence due to pain, greenness and after having a fall out xc with her previous owner. So, time to start again!!

I saw how brilliant and patient Jayne was with my daughter, and how well she’s doing, so I thought what better person to ask to get us going again!

We started having lessons with Jayne and we have had lots to learn, the both of us! I was clinging to her mouth every time she landed waiting for those bucks! Luckily they didn’t come, but she was still super-fast and would crash through everything. So, Jayne took us both back to basics.

Jayne truly is an amazing instructor. She is knowledgeable, patient and she makes the lessons fun for both horse and rider. She is also quick to change the lesson plan if either one of us aren’t playing ball! She always goes that extra mile to help you succeed.

With massive thanks to a very patient Jayne, my girl is now jumping around 3ft courses without demolishing the whole lot - taking a more balanced and rhythmical approach. Flo is gaining confidence in herself and her ability, which is helping my confidence no end. I can now say that I get excited before each lesson, rather than dreading the thought of having to leave the ground. I love that our lessons are different each time, which keeps us both on our toes. But at the same time, working on what is needed at that time.
